How much does a photography session cost?
Investment varies depending on the type of session, coverage time, location, and deliverables.
For the most accurate pricing, we recommend reaching out with a few details about your vision. We’ll respond within 24 hours with a customized quote.
When is my date officially reserved?
Your date is reserved once the required retainer and agreement are completed. Until then, the date remains open.
Do you offer evening or weekend appointments?
Yes, evening and weekend appointments are available for many sessions based on the calendar and the type of photography you need.
What happens if I need to reschedule?
Payments made upon booking are non-refundable. Your session can be rescheduled one (1) time with a 48-hour notice via email or by calling without penalty. Failure to notify the Photographer within this timeframe will result in the forfeiture of the retainer without exception. In the event of rescheduling for a second time, full payment is required.
What happens if the weather changes for an outdoor session?
If we find that weather is less than optimal, we reserve the right to reschedule your portrait appointment to our next available opening. During summer months, we typically book two dates in the event of rain. Florida weather can be all over the place, and usually cannot make the final call until 24 to a few hours prior to the scheduled shoot.
Do you offer video?
We do not offer video services; however, we are happy to make recommendations that fit what you’re looking for.
Where are you located?
Our studio is located in Clearwater, Florida, and many sessions can also be done on location throughout the surrounding area.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash or check.
Is this your real job?
Sure is. Full-time since 2007.
Do you have insurance?
Sure do. Let us know if your venue needs a copy.
What is your studio policy?
You may view our studio policy here.
Preparing for Your Session
What should I wear for my session?
Wear something that fits well, feels like you, and matches the purpose of the photos. If you are unsure, we can give guidance based on the type of session you are booking.
I am not comfortable in front of the camera. Will you help me pose?
Absolutely. Most people are not used to being photographed, so posing guidance is part of the process from start to finish.
When should I arrive for my appointment?
Plan to arrive a few minutes early so you have time to settle in. If you are running late, let us know as soon as you can. Please note that late arrivals count toward your allotted session time.
Can you help me choose between studio, outdoor, or on-location photography?
Yes. The best setting depends on what the photos are for, the style you want, and how much flexibility or control the session calls for.
Images, Editing, and Delivery
What kind of editing is included?
Final images are professionally edited for color, tone, and overall polish. Extra retouching can also be discussed when a session calls for it.
How quickly will I receive my images?
Turnaround depends on the type of session, but timing is always discussed clearly before you book. Rush deliveries are available.
What do I receive after my session?
That depends on the service, but we will explain exactly what is included before you book. This may include edited digital files, retouched selections, print options, or commercial-use deliverables.
How will I view / order my photos?
After the session, we will either schedule a time for you to come back to the studio and view your portraits in our projection room or review them immediately following your shoot. Please have all decision makers present at this time, as the order must be placed at this time.
If shooting on location for headshots, we will review your photos with you on a laptop.
Online viewing is also available for clients who are out of town, though we recommend viewing your portraits in our studio. Our viewing technology gives you a much better idea of color and cropping.
How are my images protected and backed up?
Files are handled carefully from capture through delivery and are backed up as part of the workflow. We backup our files on multiple hard drives and off-site.
Do you stand behind your printed products?
Yes. If there is a production issue with a printed product, we will work with you to make it right.
Weddings and Surprise Proposals
What is the difference between proposal photography and engagement photos?
Proposal photography captures the surprise moment as it happens. Engagement photos are planned portraits taken after you are already engaged.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes. Engagement sessions are available and can be a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding day.
Can you help plan a surprise proposal?
Yes. Proposal photography often includes guidance on timing, location, and how to capture the moment without giving it away. We do not set up decor for the proposals, however, we can recommend florists.
Can we see full wedding galleries?
Yes. Full galleries are available so you can get a better sense of consistency across an entire wedding day.
Headshots, Business Photography, and Commercial Work
Can you photograph our team at our office?
Yes. Team headshots and business photography can often be done on-site, such as your office, for convenience and consistency.
Can you match future team headshots to our existing look?
Yes. If consistency matters, the session can be planned so that future headshots are easier to match.
Can you provide different file sizes or transparent backgrounds?
Yes. If you need specific crops, web-ready files, print-ready files, or transparent backgrounds, these can be discussed during planning.
Do you help with posing for professional headshots?
Yes. Headshot sessions include guidance so the final images look confident, natural, and polished.
Photo Restoration
Can you restore damaged family photos?
In many cases, yes. Cracked, faded, torn, or otherwise damaged photos can often be restored.
Can you digitize and print restored photos too?
Yes. Photo restoration projects can often include digitizing, restoration, and new prints.
