Recently I had the pleasure of documenting Jenny + DC's wedding at the beautiful St Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts and thought I would share a few of their wedding photographs. Additionally, Jenny and DC wrote me this lovely note about their experience working with me. :) "In a word, Jonathan is amazing! He is a consummate professional, has an eye for detail, and is super fun to be around. Most importantly, there is something ethereal about his photography - it never ceases to take my breath away. My husband and I LOVE our engagement and weddings pictures. They are absolutely gorgeous! We recommend Jonathan Fanning Studio & Gallery without hesitation! Thanks for everything, Jonathan! You know we will be calling you to document all future milestones." Venue: St Pete Museum of Fine Arts DJ: Grant Hemond & Associates (Cory Barron) Caterer: Olympia Catering Planner: Apsara Events

I am thrilled to share this wonderful engagement session that I did for Sara and Glenn and simply cannot wait for their beautiful wedding in Sarasota at the Powel Crosley Estate coordinated by Nicole Voute from Confetti Events. Below is just a small handful of my favorite images from their engagement photography session. Enjoy! :) How did the two of you meet? We met at Push Ultra Lounge downtown St. Pete. How long have you two been together? Since January 2008 How did he propose? The night before my birthday he made dinner and when I came home from work Taylor was waiting for me with a ring. Glenn said to Taylor "Taylor what did you want to say to mommy?" She said " Thank you". Apparently not the planned phrase they had rehearsed over and over that day. Hehehehe. She proceeded to say in the sweetest voice, "Mommy, marry daddy please? We love you so much". Describe the wedding day (colors, theme, location, etc.) Romantic and classic with a little shabby chic/vintage mixe[...]
Recently I had the pleasure of photographing Tiffany and Tom for their engagement photography session. We did it at the beautiful Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Florida and also did a few family pictures with their son Gavin. Below are a few of my favorite pictures along with a Q&A: How did the two of you meet? Tom and I met through mutual friends and after much persistence on Tom's part we began to date and have been going strong since then. How long have you two been together? We have been together for 3 1/2 years How did he propose? It was a beautiful day in Sarasota and we decided to go out on our boat just the 2 of us. We had done this many times but something about this day seemed magical. We saw more marine wildlife than ever before and the water was like glass. We decided to stop at one point and all of a sudden a school of dolphins swam up to the boat and started jumping and playing! It was unbelievable! I was watching the dolphins from the bow of the boat a[...]
You know that moment when you combine a beautiful couple, epic location, great lighting and nice weather? Well, here is what you get! I had so much fun photographing Jake and Joyce for their engagement session. I simply cannot wait to photograph their beautiful wedding in 2016! Below is just a small handful of my favorite images and a Q&A. How did the two of you meet? Jake and I met while I was on my spring break visiting family and friends in New Jersey. Jake lived in Connecticut at the time but was out one night in NYC with friends. That same night happened to be my best friend's birthday so we both went into the city to go celebrate. We locked eyes on the dance floor but Jake played it cool and didn't approach me right away until he noticed I didn't have a boyfriend. Once he had stole me away from the group we had just met that night, we danced for a bit and I mysteriously left to go wander with my best friend. The next day I called him and we were on the phone [...]

Several weeks ago I was hired by the mother of the bride to restore and create a composite of the bride and groom when they were young to give as a small gift at the rehearsal dinner. This morning I received an email of a cell phone photo of the couple seeing their gift for the first time. I absolutely love their expressions!
One of the many reasons why I love being a photographer capturing life moments. Several years ago I had the pleasure of photographing M + L's wedding and was thrilled when they reached out to have me create maternity portraits. Below are a few images from their session.
