Tampa Engagement Photography :: Tyler + Mark

Tampa Engagement Photography What do you get when you combine a stunning couple and beautiful golden light? A recipe for awesomeness! I recently had the pleasure of creating some engagement photos of Tyler and Mark in Tampa the other day and am pretty excited to share a few of their images from the session. Enjoy! :) How did the two of you meet? Mark and I met in high school in a super small town in Wisconsin. I'm talking 2000 people or less. This is the same high school where my parents met and the town in which they got married. How long have you two been together? We have been together five years.  Our wedding will actually happen a few days after hitting six years together. How did he propose? Mark went out and got the ring while I was out of town for a week. The jeweler sent it to be resized and once he got it back, he couldn't even make it 24 hours before giving it to me. The next morning, he tied the ring around our dogs neck and sent her in to wake me up. She mus[...]

Saint Petersburg Photographer :: Enchanted Forest Shoot

When I was in photography school I used to always challenge myself with personal themed photography projects.... Now that I am doing photography full-time I sometimes get caught up and do not go shooting "just for fun" So when I saw my friend Rachel got some cool Renaissance Festival outfits I could not pass up photographing her. Below are just a small handful of my favorite images from her portrait session.

Grand Plaza Wedding :: Alyson & Quint :: St Petersburg Florida Wedding Photographer

It was so much fun being apart of Alyson & Quint's wedding day! They both have become friends and I am so excited to share a few images from their beautiful wedding at The Grand Plaza Resort on Saint Pete Beach. :) Also, be sure to check out their Engagement session at Fort De Soto. They were also featured on The Lovely Find How did you both meet? Café 13 night club on July 17, 2009. We both caught each others eyes while I was walking by him on the dance floor. How long have you been together? We have been together 4 amazing years in July! What attracted you to each other the most? Our instant connection. Quint would say my eyes, but definitely our personalities combined. The first night we met, we sat and talked the rest of the night. How did he propose? Quint won a trip to Paris through his job, Verizon Wireless. We traveled there last March. The plan was to get married at the Eiffel Tower, but it didn't go as he had planned. I sneakily looked in the safe of the hote[...]

St Pete Boudoir Photography - Mrs. W's Boudoir Portrait Session Saint Petersburg FL

I got a call from a friend of ours who we haven’t seen in a while and after catching up she got to the point – she wanted to schedule a boudoir session. I’ve known “Mrs. W” and her husband, “D”, for three years and they’re a great couple. They’ve been married for nearly nine years and July 11th marks not only D’s birthday but also the thirteenth anniversary of when they met! She wanted to do something special for him for his birthday and a Little Black Book was perfect. The theme was natural and outdoors. She wore almost no makeup and her hair loose. “Think woodland nymph traipsing through the forest,” she said. Living in Florida, we have our choice of natural locations that were perfect. We chose Myrtle Pond at Boyd Hill Nature Park for some of the shots where she dipped her feet in the water and used a shell to pour water on herself like a bathing fairyland creature. I had her pose in a park in her white dress and her wedding veil for some more innocent shots. The next place we wen[...]
