The past week I had the pleasure of photographing Shawn Yesner in creating his new business portrait. Below is a few words about Shawn and what he had to say about his experience.

Why did you need a new business portrait? – My last headshot was over 6 years ago.  At the time, I was with another firm and am now on my own.  New business – new headshot.

What would you tell someone who has never had a professional headshot taken? It is necessary because potential clients seem to be less stressed about meeting me if they know what I look like in advance of the meeting.

If you were to recommend Jonathan, What would you say? Jonathan is very professional and easy to work with.  Although taking head shots may not be as fun as wedding pictures, engagement pictures, or other “events,” Jonathan does make taking pictures very comfortable, quick and painless.

What was your favorite part during your business portrait:  My favorite part was the ease with which I was able to get in, get ready, take the pictures, and get out.  Although I had a great time talking to Jonathan while taking the pictures, I felt like we were having a conversation, rather than being at a photo shoot.  The time flew by.

Shawn M. Yesner is a Florida native, born in Tampa and reared in Miami. After graduating from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Shawn enrolled in the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University, graduating with a J.D. Degree in 1998.

Prior to starting his own practice, Shawn was an associate attorney at one of the largest lender foreclosure firms in Florida. There Shawn learned how to prosecute foreclosures quickly and efficiently, representing such lenders as Freddie Mac, Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA), Chase, Countrywide, and many other subprime lenders in all aspects for foreclosure litigation, bankruptcy and loss mitigation negotiations.

In 2004, Shawn left the plaintiff’s side of the practice to form a law firm focused on helping homeowners keep their homes. After building a successful multi-practice firm, Shawn founded Yesner Law, P.L., again with the focus of helping homeowners save their home, or get rid of their home while incurring minimal liability. Shawn’s experience at two successful big firms (both plaintiff and defendant) allows Yesner Law to represent its clients with “big firm” experience at “small firm” prices.

Shawn has been a speaker at multiple Legal Education Seminars sponsored by Law Review CLE, National Business Institute (NBI), and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), and has authored an article entitled Loan Modifications Can Help Borrowers Keep Their Homes as part of a book titled Florida Foreclosure: What Lawyers Need to Know Now published by Thomson Reuters in 2009. Among his professional affiliations, Shawn is a member of:

Bay Area Real Estate Counsel (BAREC)

Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association (TBBBA)

National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA)

American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI)

Business Network International (BNI)

Shawn currently lives in Westchase, FL, with his wife and son.
